phonecall™ Terms of Service
Effective October 20, 2026 · Plain-language version
DRAFT for SweaterBender's approval. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
phonecall is a small, private, browser-based hangout world run by SweaterBender ("we", "us"). By entering phonecall (with the site password, a Twitch login, or a private screening ticket) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use phonecall.
1. Who can use phonecall
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to use Twitch where you live.
- phonecall is invite-only. Being let in once doesn't mean you'll always be let in. We can close it, or remove anyone's access, at any time.
2. Your account
- You log in with Twitch. phonecall only asks Twitch who you are. We never see or keep your Twitch password, and we don't get access to your Twitch account.
- Screening guests just pick a name; their ticket ends when the screening ends.
- Don't share the site password, a screening password, or your login with anyone else.
3. Be kind - the house rules
No:
- harassment, bullying, threats or hate of any kind;
- sexual content, or anything not OK for a teen audience;
- spam, scams, advertising, or posting other people's private information;
- pretending to be someone else, including SweaterBender, his mods, or the bots;
- cheating, exploiting bugs on purpose, or trying to break, overload or get into parts of phonecall you weren't invited to.
SweaterBender and his mods can mute, remove or ban anyone, and delete anything, at their discretion. If someone breaks these rules, you can report them in-world.
4. What you make and post
- What you create in phonecall stays yours: chat, sketchbook pages, photos, phone messages, designs.
- By posting it you let us store it and show it inside phonecall (and on SweaterBender's streams, where you're in the shot).
- Only post things you have the right to share.
- We can remove anything, at any time.
5. Streams, videos and screenings
- phonecall shows Twitch and YouTube players on its screens. Twitch's and YouTube's own terms apply to those.
- When SweaterBender is live, what happens in phonecall may appear on his stream: your avatar, your name, your chat.
- Don't record or re-share private screenings.
6. What we keep
To run phonecall we store:
- your Twitch name and ID, and your profile picture;
- your avatar's look and what you own in the closet;
- recent chat (for history and moderation);
- your in-world phone's settings, messages and up to four photos;
- game results, and basic connection logs (to stop abuse).
We don't sell your information or use it for ads. Ask SweaterBender if you'd like your data removed.
7. Bots
Some characters in phonecall are AI bots run by SweaterBender. They are labelled as bots. What you say near them, or to them, may be processed to let them reply.
8. Merch and purchases
Nothing is sold inside phonecall right now. If real merch is offered later, it will come with its own terms at checkout.
9. The phonecall name
"phonecall" and its logo are trademarks of SweaterBender. Please don't use them for your own products or projects without permission.
10. No guarantees
phonecall is a hobby project provided "as is". It may change, break, lose data or shut down at any time, without notice. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss from using it.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using phonecall after a change means you accept it.
12. Contact
